Blizzard Bags

Blizzard Bags/Remote Learning

Enjoy your day learning, reading, writing, problem solving and having fun!

Directions are posted for each grade level. Please make sure your child has turned in the work electronically (or bring the work to school the day after the Blizzard Bag Day).

Teachers will be available online via email between 9 - 11:30 am and 1 - 2 pm to answer questions students and parents may have about the assignments.

The NH Department of Education has approved our plan for five Blizzard Bag Days for this school year.  Remote learning details will be provided at a later date.

Rye Jr. High School will be participating in the Remote Instruction Days Program, otherwise known as Blizzard Bag Days. The purpose of a Remote Instruction Day is to allow students the ability to use time out of the classroom due to snow, inclement weather or other emergency days to qualify as school days. The New Hampshire Department of Education will consider a Blizzard Bag day a school day when students engage in at-home learning opportunities that align with school and state standards and the school district has 80% participation by students.

We are excited about the opportunity to offer this program in our school and feel it will promote a variety of engaging learning opportunities to our students. Further, we are thrilled that our students’ educational opportunities will not be disrupted due to emergency weather-related closures.
