Blizzard Bag/Remote Learning for all grades.
• Blizzard Bag Day - In the event we do know ahead of time that the school will be closed due to weather, students may receive work from the teachers to bring home. Otherwise, students should go to Google Classroom for their assignments in all classes.
Enjoy your day learning, reading, writing, problem-solving and having fun!
Parents and Students:
• Please make sure your child has turned in the work electronically (or bring the work to school) the day after the Blizzard Bag Day.
• Teachers will be available via email at specific times during the day to answer questions that students may have about the assignments. Typically, 9-11:30 am and 1-2 pm.
The NH Department of Education has approved our plan for five Blizzard Bag Days for this school year.

Rye Jr. High School will be participating in the Remote
Instruction Days Program, otherwise
known as Blizzard Bag Days.
The purpose of a Remote Instruction Day
is to allow students the
ability to use time out of the classroom due
to snow, inclement weather or other
emergency days to qualify as school days.
The New Hampshire Department of
Education will consider a Blizzard Bag day
a school day when students engage in at-home learning opportunities that align with
school and state standards and the school
district has 80% participation by students.
We are excited about the opportunity to
offer this program in our school and feel it
will promote a variety of engaging learning
opportunities to our students. Further, we
are thrilled that our students’ educational
opportunities will not be disrupted due to
emergency weather-related closures.
Sincerely,
Marie Soucy
