Thank you for visiting our Rye Junior High website. Our school serves just under 200 students in grades 5-8 from the towns of New Castle and Rye, and has 30 part and full time staff members.

Our school is focused on delivering high quality, personalized learning to our students. We strive to achieve that by not only developing and delivering an in-depth curriculum, but also focusing on the developmental needs of our students. Middle school students are highly social, intensely curious, and can be slightly impulsive at times! We work to respect their developmental needs by promoting project based learning, personalized learning, and opportunities for community exposure and involvement. As students move on from RJH, it is our goal to ensure they are intellectually reflective, literate, and caring citizens prepared for the world ahead of them.
