Welcome to Rye Jr. HIgh School

On behalf of the Staff at Rye Junior High School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year!

For many of you it is a welcome back and continuation of all the exciting things that Rye Junior High has to offer. For others, it is the start of a new journey filled with excitement and wonder. Whichever path you are on, we are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your child achieves their highest potential.

Communication is vital to achieving this success and to our overall growth and sense of community here at Rye Junior High. Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts regarding your child’s school progress throughout this academic year.

If you haven't had a chance to read my back to school newsletter, you can access it here. In it, I introduce our amazing new staff members, provide an overview of our daily schedule and highlight a few upcoming key dates.

We hope you had a wonderful summer and we look forward to a successful 2019-2020 school year at Rye Junior High!

Marie Soucy, Principal

Rye Junior High School is part of School Administrative Unit #50 located in the beautiful Town of Rye, in the southeastern corner of New Hampshire.  Rye Citizens are proud of their heritage with the first settlement established in 1623.  They are equally proud of their schools.

The Parent Teacher Association diligently supports school programs and recently received a distinguished honorable mention in PTO Magazine's annual "Parent Group of the Year." This recognition is very deserving.
Citizens’ enthusiastic support for education resulted in the formation of the Rye Education Foundation, which maintains an endowment to assist educational endeavors that the regular budget cannot support and to provide funding for teaching proposals that have substantially enriched programs.

We consistently review, reflect and implement changes as needed in current programs.  We actively pursue professional development activities that improve our knowledge and skills so that we can meet the different needs of our students.  We recognize the uniqueness of our students and work hard to provide them with opportunities to reach their potential in a safe learning environment.

We welcome you to our community and wish your children an outstanding year at the Rye Jr. High School.
